Five of the eight Dodger regulars missed the series opener against the Mets because of injuries and four of them – third baseman Jim Lefebvre, left fielder Al Ferrara, catcher John Roseboro and second baseman Ron Hunt – were still out Tuesday night. Lefebvre, who has a pulled hamstring, may be ready to play in the opener of the Philadelphia series tonight. Ferrara, Roseboro and Hunt may be given a day or two more to let their cuts and bruises heal. Gene Michael, one of the five Dodgers who missed Monday night’s game, was supposed to be rested again Tuesday. But Dick Schofield had a sore shoulder that made it painful for him to throw, so Michael had to play. Gene has a sore back.
